BIOGRAPHY

A British born singer/songwriter, I live on the Sunshine Coast hinterland of Australia. I write, record and occasionally perform my songs in local venues and festivals. SONGWRITING AND RECORDING AT HOME

Songwriting is a lovely past time, it is something I have enjoyed dabbling with as a hobby for many years.
Sure it has it's frustrations, but if it was easy then perhaps it wouldn't have the same appeal.

I enjoy listening to songwriters describe how they go about writing songs, because they are all so unique. There are however, some reoccurring formulas which most songwriters seem to use -
I cover some of these on this website in My Songwriting.

I attend as many music related workshops, seminars and courses as possible, adding new found knowledge into my songs. Online tutorials of all descriptions are in abundant's on the internet and are usually very informative.

Songwriting is my main interest, but to achieve results that I am happy with, I spread my time with vocal training, musical theory, guitar study as well as learning how to use recording software. These disciplines allow me to complete a reasonable sounding demo of the song, which is important.

The study of music has been described to me as a 'bottomless pitt'...let's dive in and have some fun!
